I have a Feb 03 Corsa 1.7 TD. It was an option to fit Cruise Control, but Did not take it , I wish I had.
I take it as the throtal is a fly by wire, and the looms are the same, does that mean I could just fit the new stalk and plug it in and it would have it?
Had a look and the switch and loom are on the clutch pedal.
I have installed the new stick and the dealer has updated the ecu's, but it still wont work. Any Idea's? Much appriacate any help on the matter.

the brake and clutch switches are different i think as the cruse control needs to know when u brake or change gear get vour vauxhall garage to check or find someone with epc on there computer some lads on here have it. hope that helps a bit i know it can be done thay told me it could last time i was at the vauxhall collage but cant remember how sorry.

Is it an option on the 1.2 sxi? How do u check if the proper switch and loom are there?

Plugged in tech 2 today down the dealer today and the Body control unit
shows all the switches working, including the clutch pedal and brake.
Apon a closer look at the ECU the option for Cruise Control is not on there.
Does this mean I will have to by a new ECU? or is there some way for
reprogramming it?
From what they said it does work on the petrol cars if the clutch switch it there. All the wiring at the stick side is the same.

Did anyone ever find out anymore about this? How much does the stalk cost and is it possible to get the ecu reprogrammed? They can't put a diff ecu on ones with cruise control can they.

I can tell you the stalk is £27. Still waiting to here about the ECU. Have you got the same car John?

I've got a 1.2 sxi. I'll try and find out about the ecu. I'm almost sure its only a 2 minute job to put it on a vectra so i'm thinkin that maybe they do just enable the option in the ecu.

i was asking my dad about this as they tried to fit cruise control to a brand new meriva at his work (Belmont Vauxhall) but he said they never managed says ecu's are expensive as well

i know my local vauxhall dealer fitted cruise control to a new astra 1.4 club (not standard) and got it working
