Best off getting insured with some1 that does a lik for lik policy. U declare everything n if ya crash the theory is they pay for exactly what ya had on it!!

Dont no if it works!! Any1 been burnt by an insurance company with 1 of these policies?

Get a guaranteed value policy, only costs £17 extra with HIC.
You have to send pics and reciepts off and get a certificate stating its value for 12 months!

The original GSI had a C16 XE in it, the engine in it now is the same C16 XE just a fully re-built one with a different engine number thats all, wouldnt have thought that would be a problem

like i said im not sure whether it is true or not jus something i heard.....

i mean personally i would pay on the way to 3500 for it cause its got a spankin new engine in it what kinda condition is the body work in??

Im saying over 3500 cause around my area on garage forecourts they have L reg corsa's going for 2500 and evenly privately i see some around the same age going for 1.5 - 2k but personally by the sound of it i would quite happily pay 3k for it jus my opinion anyways.

when an insurance company ask you for the value of your car its doesnt mean thats what theyll give you if you claim UNLESS
you have an agreed valuation policy
if your GSi gets pinched youll get what it would cost to buy a standard replacement (probably less) with average miles etc
the more you say its worth, the more you will be charged as its more likely to be stolen
