hi, i have a backbox fitted on my C 1.2 8 valve.......am savin 4 a conversion but this is gona take a while so this has to do for now......any way, the backbox isnt enough....i dont have any other engine mods, and i want it to be louder. shud i start by drilling my airbox?(does this pass MOT and keep ya outa trouble if ya pulled over ) also, what else shud i go 4? ....remember, my aim is 4 more sound. cheers

There isnt a C 1.2 8v, only a 16v...?
Drilling airbox wont fail MOT, will help on the noise front, you could also think about removing your exhaust centre silencer will make the car much louder...

Ahh, well still the same,
Drill airbox or Induction Kit, and remove exhaust centre section... Should be v. loud...

cut out the centre silencer and replace it with a straight pipe, also drill the airbox or cut a big hole in the bottom and replace the filter with a pipercross or k&n panel filter, thats about as loud as you cann get it other than takin the exhaust off completely.
ps it still aint that loud!

rite, cheers guys, will removing the centre section fail my MOT? where can i get this middle pipe from? does it have to b swapped come MOT time?
i'll dril the airbox tomoz, get this middle section sorted, buy an induction kit.
then bodykit n then save 4 a engine conversion, shud av enuf with he ncb building up
