Fitted my backbox (sebring oval) the other day, to my horror i found that ive got a split in my centre section, its blowing quite bad, if i get this welded will my exhaust get louder? It sounds nice now but i can hear that annoying farty(!) noise cos of the split, does this effect performance also???

get a sraight throu centre section
ie remove the centre box then itll be louder

will i lose the CAT then tho? Dont really wana spend too much more on it cos its only a 1.2 8v, was just wondering if i will see any benefits by sorting out the split, cheers
