as i got paid yesterday, good timing i kno, i went out n bought a ripspeed gear knob, looked very nice and i culdnt wait to fit it. I own the Max Power/Haynes Corsa mod manual and it said in there that give the gear knob a very good pull but not too hard to break the gear linkages, so i pulled and pulled, prided flat head screw drivers up there to ease it off, in the end i thought sod it, and had to rip the knob to bloody shreds, then using a monkey wrench twist the bottom plasticpart off as this was stuck on too. Had anyone else have this problem, also how hard is it to replace back to the standard one when i sell. Thanks

unless you have taken great time and patience to to remove your old one, which by the sounds of it you havent then you wont be able to replace the old knob as the grip on the inside will be nakkered
plus you say you ripped it to shreds, so i presume it will be in no fit state to be replaced on the shaft anyway

well a new one will be easy to put on as you have removed the yellow grub thing that hold it on and the knob, if you go and get another whole knob from vaux/scrappy, then it will push on with a bit of force/turning
