its a digital media sommat isnt it?
i have it on mine but i have it turned off because i personally think it sounds too "artificial" i prefer to just set all the bass and treble myself.

does anyone actually use the i-personalise thing on their alipine HU'S?
sounds like a good idea (allowing you to adjust eq settings, pictures, update firmware etc), apart from having to keep burning a CD with the settings on them
I dont own a alpine, but i would defo venture into the i-personalise thing, see what ya can piss about with on ya alpine

Im running an Alpine 7998R with the MX feature and I-personalise. On mine all I-personalise does is allow you to set you h.unit up online then burn it to disc, stick it in the h.unit and its alters all the settings. You can do it all manually anyway (which i MUCH prefer). On mine it sets the Crossover frequency and slope, time allignment and EQ.
All MX is, is a DSP chip which adjusts the sound to suit, either more bass, more treble etc. I too leave mine off as it gives just too much unnatural bass.
Which elements are you guys not sure about? To make the most of EQ you need a good ear or ideally an RTA meter if you want to set it up as flat (natural) as possible.
