mate this happened to me years ago when i had a td corsa, but i had bust a valve guide and it wrecked the head, turbo blade etc. it used to put out white smoke then clear after 5 min
although it only wrecked because i had turned the boost and fueling way up.
is it petrol or diesel? if its petrol then a blown gasket usually makes it run off a cylinder and can be fixed easily, providing the cylinder head aint damaged. does the white smoke smell really bad?

well thats better that its a petrol, the smoke smelt of burning oil that was building up over night or when sitting for a while through a crack in the head then get burnt off in the turbo when started, coz all the oils seals etc were fkd!! but it was pure white

thats good at least u aint burnin no oil. head gasket price im not sure vauxhall prob charge over £50 or more but should get cheaper at ur local part dealer. prob take an hour or 2 to fit depending on the mechanic.
bring it to a mechanic first though mate to get a dignosis, better if you know them.
Good luck
