if i was you i would take it to any clifford alarm place and they will do it for about a £10 at most, GAP are shit, they should talk you through it at least. i would complain.

do they use local agents to do it, or did a GAP agent come out and do it?

i rang clifford direct this morning and the technition told me what gap said was bollox and it sounds like the receiver has come lose and he also said that you can re-program the fob using the valet mode in the fetures section so he rang gap to help me and sod me gap ring back in about 20 mins all nice as pie and said they will be out on friday to sort FREE OF CHARGE as it may be there fault
So all be warned as i was gonna pay the 120 notes just to get it sorted and may of not even been my fault

thanks all for your help on this

should have been tested and sealed at factory, and taken out of rapping before it went in. but sometimes happens, just they fucked you about, allways the same with GAP. best off going with smaller companies
