Nitriou, turbo, cams, inlet,
the more you fill the boers with air the more your torque is

at the moment it's pretty much standard. just a zorst and filter. gonna start the mods soon and want to knock up the torque. don't know about a turbo or NoS, might consider the inlet and other things.

getting an exhaust usually loses low down torque due to the the increase in bore size of the exhaust

you lose low down torque but get slightly improved top end power

bhp is not a true figure it is merely calculated using the torque figures for the car

ok. so if i increase the bhp figure i'm really increasing the torque figure?

the only reason i'm asking is a mate of mine has a plenum tube thingy in and it's chipped etc. anyway his car is producing about 140bh but when i sat in it if felt like there was no torque, just a smooth increase.

now the 2.0 16v is 150bh (10bh more) and the torque figure is much higher and u feel the power.

because it's got bigger bores so will have more torque. a 140 BHP will have lots more toruqe than a 140BHP 1.4
the only way to get a big boost in torque is turbo or Nitrous. other wise you gain torque by revving more. phsics I'm affraid

looks like it's gonna have to be NoS then cause a turbo conversion is too much

if i remember correctly, torque is not calculated over time, but bhp is.
