What does this tend to mean??
Its quite bad and it happens all the time - cold/hot, idle/driving
Any ideas??
engines done around 30k i think
its a x16xe btw

i said oil seals to start with but usually only on start up unless its really bad
white smoke tends to indicate coolant probs

i thought maybe head gasket but the water level seems fien, not getting hot, and the oil seems fine
i mean im not talking smoke screens so u cant see the car behind but its v noticeable

smell inside the header tank to see if it smells of exhaust fumes

errm white smoke.. when its cold... condensation in the zorst??
all cars do it too some extent first thing in the morning

Yep, almost definitely condensation from the exhaust. If you are not losing coolant, what else could it be?
I wouldn't worry, but keep an eye on your coolant just to be sure.

if hg was major knackered car wouldnt go well cuz compression be monged. the x16xe does suffer from valve stem seals, if these break they leak oil in and burn with mixture. still could b hg tho
