Yes i know, but as long as the car isnt needed for a while and you have the right equipment it can be done cheaper than 3k, well thats what i was pointing out anyways
yeah and if ya handy with a welder then the mounts and custom exhaust system isnt a problem, and get this to make my mounts up i had to jack the engine into place in the engine bay and make a cardboard dummy mount so i could see what my mounts were gunna be like cowboy or what

The T2 at least the one like on some Renaults and the Silvia is quite a crap unit, pretty restrictive and runs too hot. The T25 was better, like on the S13 200SX was what I used on my Silvia and you can put a better cold wheel on and stuff.

Hmmmm, I sense sarcasm in a few of the posts !!
Ur right, just wanted it for the noise...Got a four inch straight through pipe from front to back and a Peco BB4 back box so has def got the grunt, just wanted the little "WSHHHHHH" when the revs got high...
Judging by the posts I gather its not worth the hassle...Being naive, I thought it be easy to just fit the turbo, and bobs ur uncle, a whooshing noise to partner the lovely grumble, and obviously the little power increase would be nice...
Thanks for all the advise gents, I'll start saving for the engine then..

Its an expensive way to get limited power.
My car still aint been driven. But you can make a cheap bodge job for little cash.
Courtneay have made alot out of it.
2 Oe head gaskets with a stainless plate in the middle ofthe 2 gaskets for lowerd compression.
FSE Boost valve.
Extra radiator piping for boost hoses.
Some sort of second hand intercooler that fits.
2nd hand T2 or ICI
Tap the sump for an oil return and have an adapter where the oil switch is for an oil feed
Fabricate a manifold.
Induction kit. Universal heat sheild ones i sell £50.
Dump valve (which is the main reason ya want it)
Custom exhaust down pipe to mate to original system.
Andthat is how to get onto scrap heap challenge.LOL
