Any one got any tips on how to remove the glue from under the rub strips, removed them at the weekend and its taking forever to remove the glue without damaging the paintwork.

Ive tried getting hold of the circular rubber sanding block with no luck, im loosing hope.... ive tried, meths, white spirits, boiling water and elbow grease.
