Too much power too soon. At 18 you've had less than one years legal driving experience.

i was thinking it wud be cheaper to buy a gsi

Don't change the engine just because its different.

I wud deffo look at a 1.6 to a 2.0 at 18 tho mate.

also handlings better and the 1.6 has a lot of room for tuning

your be hard pushed to insure a 1.416v sport at 18

i woudl suggest a 1.416v sport however, add a mantzel and your looking at 90-100bhp and a affordable insuracnce premium
