Just had two 12" phoenix gold subs put in my car, they sound nice at a low level nut when i turn them up all i here is the car vibrating  its very annoying, i looked into dynamat and was shocked how dear its is! A dodgy mate of mine who comes up with all sorts of mad ideas which sometimes work and sometimes dont suggested i use CARPET UNDERLAY instead! may be a silly question but would it work?

 carpet underlay
closest thing you can get to dynamat thats cheap is brick/slate flashing tape

go to ur nearest wickes n get stuff called flashing tape not as gd as proper stuff but would probly help has on mine
