Hello there,
Well I painted my bodykit but it turns out that the colour match was not too good. I took it to a well respected bodyshop near me and the guy said it was because the paint on my car is 4 years old and has weathered slightly, it only looks different because its fresh paint, he said it wouldnt be possible to get a closer match, unless i got a full respray.
He said he can do the following for £450 in arden blue
* Removing key marks from side (from some jelous bastard)
* Removing a couple of dings on the door and wing
* respray full car shell
* spray Bodykit front & back bumper and sideskirts
* spray Spoiler
* spray arches
Does this sound like a decent quote ??
Ive seen some of the work he's done and its spot on

I thought you had found that there were two different grades of Arden Blue and you picked the light one cos vaux told you there was only one shade?

So if you resprayed with the right paint code would it not be grand? I know there may be a tiny pigment difference but you could rub up the bonnet and wings into it ?

sounds alright too me, sounds like there is minimal prep work just a couple of small dents, its the prep work which takes the time, not the actual spraying.

yeah, the car is arden blue already, so its basicly a job of filling the dents and scratches and rubbing the laquer til its lost its shine and rrespray and laquer it.

rubbing the laquer is easy, they will do it with a grey scotch pads, very quick and easy.
