rite i have my mot in a couple of weeks. i have some worries that might not pass but i thought id ask u guys first.
my handbrake light is on all the time. i cant find the fault and im not losing any brake fluid and its allways topped up. will i fail for this?
and my central locking is bust so when i lock the car the petrol cap is still unlocked, will i fail for this?

You need a fuel cap with some form of locking. Either the flap locking, or the actual cap, so probably.
As for the handbrake, one of the cars at work has a handbrake light that's on some of the time, and it passed.

u won't fail for your pertol cap but i'm not sure about the handbrake light

A couple of posts saying about the fuel cap.
TBH, I wouldn't really want my fuel cap accessible while I was away from the car anyway mate. Don't trust the people round here, they're all pikies.

you wont fail for fuel cap only way u can fail cap if its a flexi type cap. missing or seal ring missing or damaged as for hand break light id say pass and advise if the fluid is ok and there are no fluid leaks it can not fail

if it does not then itll fail
