been told by a car audio place that buying some type E custom fit component speakers instead of type R components will be far better, and the type Rs would be distorted and fuzz and get worse as the volume got higher, but the type Es would give wicked sound and not distort even at top volume. they would be run off the pioneer DEH-P80MP, which is 60w
what do you reckon to this lads views?

well in that case, get the alpine type-s custom fit comps. I have them and they ran off my HU for a good while and sounded fine.

or the type e as u say, either would be fine.

whats the difference between type E and type S?
what i was going to add to my last post but boss came round, was that theres no possibile way of getting cash together as i just forked on a new car, so im scraping to just get something better than the standard shite. the wonders of poorness, hate it

well the type S are meant to be better, a nicer tweeter etc.., but tbh neither will set the world on fire so just go for the cheapest one, i.e. type E
