I have a corsa gsi and my engine control light keeps coming on. It has happened before and i did an oil change and put some petrol x in the fuel and it was ok for a few months but now it has come on again.
My car still runs ok although it does hesitate when i put my foot down.
I really don't want to have to go to vauxhall for them to tell me what it is as they will charge me a fortune.
Has anyone else had this problem? and can anyone suggest what it could be?
Thanks, Michelle.

Ideally you need to get the codes read, usually costs £30. Could be quite a lot of things.

Thanks. I've been told though that it costs more than 30. I'll have to give them a ring

Ive found it varies. I found 3 garages within 5 mins from my house, 2 vauxhall £30 and £50 and an auto electrition that wanted £65

Thanks everyone. I did the paperclip test and it turned out that my air flow meter sensor is knackered which is quite probable so i'm off to get a new one. Thanks.
