Was driving to a mates house last night and bout half way there my ECU light flashed on and then the car just died. Ivr still got electrics working but when i try to start it the engine rotates but just wont start??!!
any ideas or similar probs?

sure its not batery or alternator?

Could be anything.
Start by checking the cambelt!

Cambelts fine (only done 8k on new one) alternator and battery ok it just aint starting. Also ECU light aint on at all now! could it be fcuked ECU?
