Got a BFO cone and I have not cleaned it since I put it on. I did not get any cleaning stuff when I bought it.
Have any of you got this induction kit? If so how can I clean it?

You only need to clean it eveery service, when you would normally replace the filter element. You should use Pipercross filter cleaner - as it is a pipercross air filter anyhow.

Cheers for that. When should you change the standard filter? It's just that I have had the BFO on for about 16,000 miles (maybe more) and I think maybe it needs cleaning. Where can I buy pipercross cleaning kit from?

You can buy the cleaning stuff from Halfords - I think you can probably use the K&N stuff too, but you'll have to check. You should clean it every time you do a service on the car, so about every 20,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first.

Clean the filter with mild soapy water and rinse the filter from inside out (so the water takes any remaining dirt particles with it).
Let the filter dry naturally - any heat source like a hair dryer, etc may soften the glue holding the foam together.
Reapply the retention spray.
Fit back to the car.
