How would i go about this ?
Got a couple of Neons, but no car now, so was thinking of wiring them into a plug to use @ home, is this an easy job, or require some actual knowledge ?
Assume i'd need an invertor ?
The neons has a Positive and Negative, that's it.

Invertor would step the voltage up, you just need a suitable transformer that will supply 12v at whatever current they neons draw, probably 5 amp odd.

Take a look on Ebay, you should be able to pick up something like a 12v CB type power supply for about a fiver.

but then you would need a bridge rectifier and caps to convert the AC to DC yes?

^^ WTF?
you need a decent DC power supply, its simple enough just have a butchers at the neons instructions and see what power it takes, and then get hold of a DC REGULATED power supply that will handle alittle more than that...and jobs a gooden
