Has anyone here taken the cat of a 1.4 8v corsa? Was it worth it? Did it make much difference performance wise? Also does it use more fuel?
I want to make it louder than it is now and also make it a bit quicker.
Many thanks,
Tim.

hmmmm
removed a few flatspots, didnt notice any real difference tho tbh except the car popped & banged a bit
I used one of those Rage Downpipe things that goes from the manifold>system so saves cutting the pipe & welding.

When they make it is going to be a simple unbolt and bolt cat back on when ever needed for mot. I have been told it would make it a bit nippier? Also does it use loads more fuel?

the rage one I got from local motor-factors
was just a case of unbolting the manifold from the downpipe & undoing the bracket connecting the downpipe to the system & then fitting the rage pipe.
10 min job max to swap

no
it goes from manifold to system
so the original system (cat-back) stays as it is
cost me £45

Oh right. Might give the decat ago as if I dont like it I can just put the cat back on. Only thing I will loose it the money to do the job.
Will I use more fuel without a Cat?
