Lo

Right I'm about to purchuse some Koni shocks for the front of my car (already have the rears) and was wondering if they wud lower the car on there own if standard springs were put in with them?

I currently have Koni shocks on the back with standard springs (used to have lowering springs but it was way way to low) and the ride height is spot on however on the front its on std shocks and lowering springs still and it sits slightly to low (yes amazingly it is to low)

So basicully i want to know if uprated shocks lower the car without the need for lowering springs!

Thank you please

no

shocks alone wont lower the car, they will just make the car harder ride.

shocks/springs combo will lower the car

Springs decide the ride height.

I'd be wary of using performance dampers with standard springs. Just as standard dampers are not designed to be run lowered, lowered ones are not designed to be run at standard heights.

i dont think that you would get the standard springs to compress enough to get the top plate of the shock absorber on. i had this problem wen it was MOT time as i had astra springs (unknown to me bought 2nd hand n told were corsa) so had to bye new lowering springs
