came across this site which was selling Corsa Enlarged Throttle Body.
http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/asps/ShowDetails.asp?id=2880
Would this really have much of a gain in bhp for the 1.4 sport?
wat other mods would go hand in hand to increase the total bhp out put of the car?
anyone got it installed?
any help would be great thanx !

wouldn't bother to be honest, you wont see to greater gain from it. best thing for the 1.4 is an after market inlet manifold, like a manzel one

an enlarged TB is going to help..... est if you have a matzel/diblas manifold.....
think about it.....
More air flow..... but would ideally need to be mapped

enlarged TB wount make allot of differnce to power itself (standard engine), but the car will rev easier and more freely.

The 1.4 and 1.6 ones are the same, so i'd say all it will do is make your wallet lighter.
The Nova GTE/GSi throttle body will fit and has a bigger bore, but you'll have to fanny around with the icv as its different.

I think i will give a very on off throttle response if you increase the TB size too much. It's only worth doing in conjuction with other mods, the most restrictive part of the engine to start is the inlet manifold, then exhaust manifold, then rev's and cams, head, then TB

Defineately worth it, but a 2L is cheaper than TB's on a 1.4/1.6, but the car won't handle the same ever again.

True Adam, but theres a limit to how much power you can put down through the front end, so can trade power on the straight for speed on the corners
