N E 1 GOT PICS OF EGR FOR A 14XE, ALSO CAN N E 1 TELL ME HOW 2 GET 2 IT EASILY. SOME THING IS MAKING THE DAMN CAR CUT OUT I AM LED TO BELIEVE ITS EITHER THE EGR OR POSSIBLY THE IACV.

i did this not long ago and its a right pig to get at.

Start by removing the battery, romove the two small coolant hoses that go to the expansion tank, undo the 2 plastic nuts that secure it to the bulkhead. wiggle the tank out of the way. Remove the coolant hose from the expansion tank. there a a few electrical plugs that you can remove to make acces easier. Undo the fuel return pipe *make sure the car has been standin around 20mins so that any pressure has gone* then rmove the fuel feed. U will then need to remove the funny clip that hold the induction pipe to the bottom of the throttle body. push this down. this will give you more room to get your tools in. You should be able to get at the 2 retaining screws on the egr. Torx bits...easily rounded without the right size. with these undone u should be able to take it straight out. Make a blankin plate and put it bk with some gasket sealant and a new gasket from Vaux.

X ELLENT will get on with it wen car is bk from body shop nex monday will post pics if out goes wrong but doesnt sound like there is too much to move Did you just blank yours off and reconnect it

yeah...make sure u dont use to much gasket sealant. i did this and blocked the egr up so had to take it all off again.

the egr still needs to work but just doesnt do anythin. u will know if its wrong cos u will get the fault light come on.

right o thanx for the advice/help wish me luck just hope this cures the cutting out problem as i have read that the intake air control valve is evan worse to do

Block the EGR and use a CCV bypass, no more messy induction
