I changed some memory in my computer the other day, then took it out again - the memory was originally in slots 1 + 2 but it ended up in 2 + 3

After this my computer went blank every now and then and i had to reboot.

Would the memory positions have anything to do with this?

Ive changed it back just and am waiting to see if it happens again.

Ben.

Do i care what you say. Err... No!

I'm speaking from experience In theory you should be able to put more mem in and the operating system to reconise it. However, this does not always go to plan.

lmao, reformattings gonna do fuck all.

Maybe try resetting the CMOS - that will reset all your BIOS settings, which are probably at their default anyway.

well its always resetting the CMOS after a hardware change.

Turn off your PC then move the CMOS jumper from pins 1 and 2 to 2 and 3, leave for a few seconds then switch back and reboot.
