Lol. As Rob said on other post it will make a good noise. No real effect if any on 1.2 performance.

personally, i would just de-restrict the airbox. drilling holes just gives a "better" sound.
do you have a 1.2 16v?

im guessing he has a Merit, so no, he has the 1.2 8v. and that little drawing is bullshit, as long as you supply enough cold air feeds, it will be fine. however, you wont get any performance gain from doing it on a 1.2 8v. maybe improved throttle response on cold nights.

I did it on my 1.2 8V, unlike a K&N induction kit, tbh it only really makes a noise when ur accelerating like fook! If your in low revs you'll never really know you drilled it. Be fair though, makes a nice growling noise in high revs, for the cash you pay to do it (Nothing ) You can't fault it!

its a sh*t idea to drill the airbox even with a cold feed...it made me top out 15mph less and pull thru the revs loads slower
had to buy a K & N induction kit as my airrox was covered in crappy holes!

if anything on mine it made it slightly more (very very slightly) repsonsive.
