The old idiot nxt door needs 2 parking spaces room to park. They dont like me much because I sometimes have to park outside their house, and they think they own the road.
Anyway a normal size space wasnt enough, and he hit my car. Some of the neighbours, and my visiting mum heard him whack it.
I can see a small mark on the bumper, nothing serious, but what if the damage isnt visible. Should I report it to the police? Whats the normal procedure? It annoys me because he knew he done it and looked, but ran back in his house despite my mother standing there! What a wanker. He gets paranoid every time I park near his car, and looks out the window! He owns a real old tatty Nova thats on its last legs, LMAO.

go and get his insurance details, and report it to the insurance... it wont affect you, just him... and you'll get it fixed. but make sure when his insurance comes out to check it that you have everything declared or taken off

If you go through insurance it will affect both your policies. Even if it isnt your fault!

I would get pictures so you can prove it and try and get witnesses to back you up if you can, then if you want to claim on your insurance i would get hes details or if not try and arrange for the man to pay for the damages if you dont want to involve the insurance

Ask him if he accepts that he has damaged your car (and have a witness with you). If he agrees, suggest that you'll get it checked out at a garage and let him ahave a copy of the quote. He can then decide whether he wants to settle with some cash or go through the insurance, but suggest to him it'll be better to take the cash route and protect his no claims. That way you can get it sorted a lot quicker.

Are you letting him get away with it?
Im sure if it was the other way around, he will be straight onto the police
Although if you cant see any damage then i doubt theres anything you can do

Well im told the wife of old git looks really ill, and gossip is she is on the way out. Normaly im a caring type of guy, but these people are proper scum of the earth.
Today I go to park (in front of their banger) and im being watched by his wife like a hawk. It was that, or she was looking for good old grim reaper.
