1.4 corsa b 8v

Cant for the life of me work out how to disconnect the speedo from the gearbox end from reading the haynes book. It says its a cable but doesnt really help

Anyway can someone tell me where it is? i know it will unscrew i just dont know where it is

It's on the top-rear of the g/box (below the water header tank) -- it's approx a 1/2 cm wide cable which has a metal tube round the end which screw onto the g/box and holds the cable on...

I just reached down and unscrewed mine by hand? It's in clear view... (at least it is on the 2.0)

i cant attually see a speedo cable as i know it.

I can see where the haynes manual shows it to be im sure, and there isnt exactly much under the header tank going into the gearbox.

What i can see is a connector with 2 wires comign out of it, going into another plastic thing with a nut formed on it. Around 22mm in size.

yours is electronic
so either the sender on the gearbox is sick
or your dials are

there's a small bolt u have to undo - it's not the easiest thing to do, then once u do that pull the whole thing out with plyers - the sender and diff go quite deep. Be careful not to loose the diff as you need it!
