Hi everyone im new to the forum, 17 years old and got an L-reg Sri which im really proud of. I'll get some pics up later on for you. Just a quick question, everyone talks about these redtop corsa's and I just wondered how much does a conversion cost because I'll have one years no claims nxt may? Any are they 2.0 16v engines? What sort of bhp are they pushing? Thanks guys

No chance unless you pay through your anal tract
altho i was insured at 19 with NO NCB so it is possible just i think insurance companies are wising up a little to these conversions

It makes the insurance group something like 14-15 so it won't be cheap.

Yeh im nearly 19 with 2 years no claims and my insurance company put a 2.0 corsa into group 14 which was the top band before they dont insure you at all. I live in a relatively low insurance area too so youl be lucky to get your insurance for a reasonable price.

Still... im payed £200 a month at the mo but only 8 payments so isnt too bad. How hard would it be to put in a gsi engine? Also, how much do these redtops cost?

if your paying 200 a month then i wouldnt even bother with a gsi engine - theyre only 2/3 groups lower than the redtop

We talked about this at PVS yesterday - XE's into a Corsa are a really bad idea and should be avoided at all costs...
