Best way to do it is to:
Clean the window up with some methylated spirit to get rid of any wax/oil/crap
Mark out where the sticker is to go with a chinagraph - if you want to be really accurate - also mark on the sticker/paper cover the center point, or some kind of reference point to get everything nice and straight.
Then apply the sticker, start at one end, and gradually peel the backing off while scraping over the stick down bits with an old credit card.
Once it is down scrape over all the sticker with the card and peel the paper off the top.
