im trying to do a system restore with the disk what came with my pc. problem is that when i select the disk to be in english , it still is in german.
then when i goto start reformatting i get this error -
"festplatte ist für hdcopy schreibgeschützt, bitte erst freigeben"

i think it means my hardrive is write protected

how can i sort it?

do a search on google and when it comes back with results, choose translate on the right... pretty good translation with some sites, others its pi** poor

not sure how you get it into english though until you have windows etc up and running

Where did the disc come from?
Is it the 1st time you've installed using that disc?

the disc came with the PC , ive used it a couple of years ago and it was fine, but its the first time ive tried using it since i got windows service pack 2 ...
