did you smear copper grease on the backs of the pads ????
could even be catching on the wear lip on the disc edge

you have got to be kidding me. bedding the brakes in is very important with new pads, so that they run flush well with the disc face. take it easy for 200 miles or so, dont slam the brakes on etc

The pads come glazed over. You have to burn the glaze off of the pads before they work quitely, though you should have copper greased up the shoes before you fitted them...
