You just need a VGA to DVI converter cable which should come with the card....

Yeah id recommend the 6600GT, but if your strictly stuck to that budget, an ATi 9800pro wouldnt be a bad choice.

I meant, with a PCI Express card, would I need a new motherboard? I know I don't for an AGP

I have a 9800 Pro if you are interested?
£50 + p&P, its yours.
ITs never been overclocked, runs sweet as a nut.
Its the sapphire version (one of the best if not the best).
I just found a review Here
u2u me if your interested.
It will currently play any game out at the moment (havent tested quake 4, but i completed doom3 with it, which uses the same game engine as quake4).
