what is involved in changing my f20 2 f28 and what bits do i need?

will need the clutch and flywheel off the turbo as the splines on the input shaft are different for the clutch and also need a different gearbox mount, then the linkage chopped and welded etc

Without actually checking or have ever looked, I thought F28's were like F20's with 6th stuck on top.

You just need the cluthc plate for a F28 the flywheel and pressure plate can be sued from the 20XE

the f28 i believe is the same as the f20 4x4 then an extra gear, as the f20 4x4 has the same final drive, hence why people put the final drive into f20's on track cars, quicker acceleration.

well, thats what ive been led to believe. i know the f28 aint the same ratio's as an f20 as i cant get 65 outta the f28 in 2nd whereas i could out the f20

i know all the info on paper BUT
i remember PVD pete had a C20XE and a F28 and it was really bad.......

i wouldnt really bother with em on an xe, its nt really that badly geared as it is
