Right had my recent set-up ages, probably 2 years now, in that time its not been formated or anything so it must be clogged up with shite ie the registry stuff and all that. How do i go about cleaning it up, wiping it isnt an option has I haven't got the Windows 2k disk,
I've got a few things that i can delete (pc nokia suite, etc so wanting a good clear out to get rid.
Any Advise/help/ programs i should get?

Start with Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, then Adminstrative Tools -> Services and disable anything thats not essential.
If you're confident only do a few services at a time, reboot and use it for a bit before disabling more.

get a Ad-Aware SE Personal do a scan to get some trash out of your pc.
then when that is done run Disk Defragmenter it will take some time but its worth it!
Then do a virus scan!

done adaware, and search and destroy, then i went through add/remove progs, then I donloaded a registry cleaner program, that found quite a few things! about 77 in one section!
Anymore ideas? think i'll do a de-frag as suggested, Wouldn't it be better doing a virus scan before de-frag?
