I just bought the a new momo lift up reverse gear knob for my corsa, just a simple mod that adds a nice touch to the interior, but how the hell do i get my standard gear knob off ???

Its stuck on solid !!! Some one help, im probably just being stupid !!

if its a corsa b you just have to pull like fuck but try to hold the bottom of the stick so you dont do any damage!! sometimes twisting it a litlle helps to work it off

ok cheers, i have tried pullin it hard, but ill have to try even harder.

a mate who drive a clio had to hacksaw his original one off to put his new one on but now his gear stick is stupidly small ! fcuk doing that.

i did this at weekend. got my mate buitl like a brick shit house to do it! you can just twist but if this fails you can haksaw only the gear knob not the stick off! but first try agen then try the hairdryer trick mate

try a hot cloth wrap it round it for a bit see if that loosens it, mine just pulls off isnt that hard, which type is it though? is it the rubberish one or the one like in tigra's?

yeah if your not to bothered about it just use a hacksaw but i should try a hair dryer first

take off the gear gaiter and pull out the pin holding the gear stick in place. Then sling it in a vice or something and pull the gearknob off.

get someone to hold the shaft (lol) and get a centre punch and hammer and knock it off from underneath

i took the hacksaw to mine, 2 hours later, bingo.
the f**ker came off.
