Hello guys anyone tell me is it a easy job to fit new brake shoes and drum's to a 1.4 corsa M reg. If it ent then i will just go get them fitted at a garage

it is easy, but if you need to ask the question i would think you should take it to a garage. im all for people doing maintainance on their cars themselfes, but learn with something basic, not your brakes!

take your rear wheels off, then your drums, then have a look start off with the offside rear shoe and take it apart (is it a corsa you want to do it on?) and then put it back 2geva with the new shoes in and a simple way to put it back 2geva is "copy" the uther side,so you now were all springs go etc!! (always do one side at a time  )
all u will need is pliers that should do the job

Its vertainly not as easy as changing disks and pads, but gets quite easy once you've done it a few times before. Streching those springs into place is a bit of a bastard but not too difficult. If you do change them, take a photo of the shoe/spring arrangement with a digital camera then print it out for reference so you know where all the springs go. Don't forget that you'll need to fit new rear wheel bearings as well, you need a press for this unless you bash the new rings into the drum, which is not the ideal way as you can score the face of them easily. If you need to get hold of a spring kit, bearings, drums or shoes then give me a u2u

yes bearing races = bastid... i used a bit of exhaust pipe and a very big hammer, worked a treat

You forgot to mention release the handbrake, as you will find it impossible to release the drums with it on.

i just got it done at the garage only cost me £25 laber and £61 part's so not bad at all realy
