I know this sounds dolly but are front bulbs easy to change?

Yes. Pull the wiring plug off the back of the bulb. Might take a bit of wriggling and force to do it. Then take the rubber weather proofing bit off the back of the headlight. Then unclip the metal clip holding the bulb in and change the bulb and put it all back together the opposite way that you took it apart. Dont touch the bulb lense, hold it by the metal part
