i bought some retro games from ebay, including command and conquer which the box says will run on windows 95 or 98. ive tried to run it on xp but it says it cannot run as windows 5.1 is running.
is there any way i can get round this and play the game or should i cut my losses and resell it???
thanks in advance

c&c and also redalert do run on xp with compatibility mode selected, its mainly just the setup programs which can be touchy
altho the DOS version will never work... full stop

i'd do a check of the cd itself, have you tried installing from the alternate cd also?
there are a few fixes to aid the 'post' install issue too...
