just been on my ISP's web site to see if i cud upgrade my line speed. my isp do up to 8mb but they will only supply me upto one meg, they say my line cannot get any more the 1mb, but when i goto other isp's they will offer me atleat 2.5mb? any ideas how my isp cannot do it? and other can?

MAX was released a couple of weeks ago.
This works in a different way from old adsl, maybe your isp hasn't updated the site yet.

there is 3 packages on my isp site starter plus and max, so i upgraded too max lastnight which will giv u up too 8mb (if ur area will take it) all give i t a week and ring them andd see what the crack is

take your phone box apart, and connect the two wires together (blue and blue/white).
will get twice the speed then!
ring them back and get them to do another check

How will that get you twice the speed?
MAX speed is determined over 10 days anyway.
