OK PPL MAJOR ISSUE AND ITS ANNOYING NOW.
My friend has just split with her boyfriend. She has a laptop that they shared and she has the limited access and he had full admin access. He cant remember his password tho so we cant get into the admin area of the pc.
I have tried to do the boot from safe mode but it fails at agp440.sys. To sort this issue out tho you have to have the admin password!?! HOW STUPID IS THAT LMAO
ANY IDEAS OF HOW WE CAN GET INTO IT?
Been rolling round internet for ages with no luck at all.
THANX

Firstly, this should be in geek day.
Have you reformatted the hard drive?

i can point you in the direction of an admiunistrator password reset.
Its an iso image that you burn to CD and boots into linux and alters the accounts

I dont know if it works on limited accounts, but it does on admin ones
Start--> Run
Type "control userpasswords2" (without quotes) and reset the password to his account

If that worked on limited accounts it would kind of defeat the purpose a bit would it not.

you have to be able to log on with admin rights to be able to reset a password mate, pretty difficult if you dont know the admin password

I cant see anything on that website that tells you that you can access these things through having just a limited access acount.
Trying at ths moment to create the boot cd that steve has sent me.
Not having much luck at the moment as it is saying you are unable to read the CD
