I took my dials out to fit new white ones and had to remove the needles to do this. the temperature, petrol and rev gauges are all fine but the speedo appears to be slower than what the car is moving (ie, car moves at 30mph, clock shows 20mph). do you think this will just be due to me putting the needle back on abit too tight? thats all i can think of really

Are you on eg: 0-130mph dials or say 10-130mph dials............i know some corsa dials start at 10mph, you've ordered the right ones?

when you took the needle off, did you lift it over the little pin, to allow the spring to fully extend? this is where you need to put the needle back on, and lift it back over the pin. without doing this, the clocks will read -10mph ish (although the pin in holding the needle at 0)

I got some clocks with white dials fitted and i believe i have the same problem as well... my clocks appear to be reading slower than i am actually travelling. Usually when i hit the limiter in first gear i'm doing 30mph but with the new clocks with the white dials it reads 20mph.
