Currently have the phone and Internet with NTL and am happy with what i have got. Now i'm looking into getting the digital TV from them, what i want says on there website will cost me £35 a month but surely if i ring them i could get this cheaper as i'd be a valued customer (if there is such a thing these days)
Anyone got any advice?

I've looked at sky but my parents won't get it as we have NTL for everything else. They say they don't want the dish on the house and they don't want any extra wires that Sky may create

had ntl tv for about 8-10yrs, no probs here + its works in crap weather, doubt many sky people can say that
i believe the family pack is only 20 quid or so (check there site) but phone up and see if they will offer any deals, like free install etc

Bit dodgy running a dodge box on a cable network, especially as its two-way (unlike sky) and they do checks every week for dodgy boxes - sky easier to do as its one-way (plus your box actually recieves all of the channels, unlike cable) and its improssible for them to ever find out

They migh offer you a discount fr 3-6months as an incentive, but they've got millions of other "valued customers" and doubt they're gonna go short for some guy
If i were you i'd subscribe to the minimum tenner a month jobby and get a dodgy box (everybody does it so that makes it ok ).

like ive said and others, phone them up it differs from customer to customer. They might offer something, like i said free installation but dont count on anything special like 5 quid a month for the full works
and personally i would spend an extra 10 quid and be safe! lets be honest, going to court against a multi-billion dollar company (ntl is american) isnt the smartest of things to do, as its only time that they will find your box and like i said they do weekly tests that will check it.....
btw, dbox is the cable version and dreambox is the sky version - is there a similar linux box for freeview?

ntl is fine ive had it years, as for reducing your monthly bill if you ring them obviously know one knows they might do.
they have done with me before but i have 2 phone lines, 10meg ibroadband and 2 digital boxes with every channel.
so a high spender.

We had NTL for a long time and there wasnt much up with it. I would say however that their customer service wasnt much cop. IMO.

we have had NTL digital since it was first released and havent really had many problems with the TV other than that sometimes it freezes and the info bar doesnt always work.
also a few months ago we managed to blag sky sports free for 12 months.
customer service is normally shit though.
