can body filler set without hardener?
trying to smooth in spoiler, need the filler to be quite soft for awhile before setting
How do i do it?
just use a real little bit of hardener or none?

Why do you need it to be soft?
You need the correct ammount of hardner for it to set. You can't add less.

whats the correct ratio between filler and hardner?
I use hardener to the size of a 1p for an amount of filler which resembles the size of an egg

Golf ball size of filler, pea size of hardner I think.

too much hardner and it look pink and sets like rock and its a pig to sand down
too little hardner and it will take weeks to go off if at all
mix it right it should go hard in about 10-15 mins it depends on the make of the filler too i prefer the stevens stuff to the davids filler as you seem to get a better finish
