Windows XP operating system, how do you restore to factory settings? have done this before, but can't find where to do it? John

thanks but this only restores to a previous state, i want to restore to factory settings (when it was first purchased).

you can restore it to the very first date...but didnt you get a restore cd when you bought the pc?

can't find a cd mate to restore, have been looking though. also having a problem downloading tech in a box which is annoying

also if the internet is being a pain.... go to Run.. then type "REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL" and press enter
