Author media player problem

friend has a problem where media player trys to auto rip any cd inserted in a drive. It is turned off under TOOLS > OPTIONS > RIP MUSIC, any idea why it still trys to do it?

Re-install? takes a couple of mins and usually sorts out any bugs that creep in. Sometimes happen when you install other player software.
