I have set linux up on a older pc which has wireless built in.
I'm tryin to connect it to a belkin Modem/router just to accsess internet but it doesn't find the web address? I can ping the router. But of a xp computer i can't find the linux ip address?
Any help will be greatfull.

so my understanding is from the linux pc you can ping the router? you can also ping the xp machine? but from your xp machine you can't ping the linux box?
do you have a firewall on the linux box? and is your dns setup right on the linux box, enter a dns address of the router!

dns should be allocated by your router along with the ip address, however to find the ip of your linux box from a console type 'ifconfig' if that doesnt work type 'su' press enter then your root password then enter, and then do the 'ifconfig'
