Ok , heres how my corsa is running. Rather than say its running like a bag of shit, heres basically how it goes.

Very lumpy idle 600 - 700 rpm.

Car is slow to pick up to around 3000 rpm , then all of a sudden its very quick

Running rich.

Had it at the rolling road today and they have said the lambda sensor needs changed - there was a 0 voltage reading. Would that cause these problems ?

Also I have been using an x14xe ECU which Ive been advised to change , which all going well i should have one off Dave A

Quite pleased with how it runs when it goes but this is annoying me !!

Try a local (independant) motor mactor, i got a lambda sensor from the first one i tried round my way - although the problem in my case was HT leads so the lambda was un-used and returned

quite similar yes - a mate of mine (ex vaux mechanic) got a squirty bottle with some water in and just sprayed a light mist over the HT leads where they meet the engine (at the end) with the engine running - This showed the no.1 lead to be arcing

I was only having problems when it was wet, hence the leads were getting wet - plus it struggled to start at times.

Could be worth just trying that little test, cant do any harm but i would have thought rolling road ppl would pick up on that tbh

and as mentioned, dont buy 2nd hand, get new.

just because you buy 2 from a scrappy, doesnt mean 1 will work, let alone both...

Did a paperclip test - the lambda sensor I got works !

So the codes I got were :

44 Oxygen Sensor - AIR Mixture too lean (was running rich as fook beforehand)

24 Vehicle Speed Sensor

33 Map Sensor High Voltage

56 Air control solenoid - Low Voltage

Anyone know if these are whats causing poor running , and their reason ?
