was wondering what kind of oil to slip into the heap when I change it at the weekend,it has a bit of a tappety sound,and i dont like it as it sounds pooey already bought some decent plugs n leads ready for service session, was just wondering if castrol gtx was as good as people say? or if I should just stick to vauxhalls semi synth? any words of wisdom would be great!

Just use GM 10w40.
get some lifters on order, not too hard a job, you know your way round a tool kit

yer mite get some lifters end of the month...still got till end of october before its on road...thats when insurance renewal is due...sod paying 400 to use the car for just a month TPFT! just trying to get it spot on for when it goes on road

that'll be the best way, changing the oil won't sort out shagged lifters

i would wait til you have it on the road and using it regulalry.
A little start here and there is bound to have it noisy!

hmmmm when I had the nova 16v after not using that for a week or so that was v noisy and tappy until I started regularly using it...guess I will just wait for now
